Envision East Central Iowa is an initiative designed to create and implement a comprehensive economic development strategy across the region’s six-counties.

The pandemic and evolving economic conditions over the past few years have provided an opportunity to re-imagine the region’s future. Envision East Central Iowa will help open grant opportunities for development throughout urban and rural areas and provide a framework for working together to grow a strong, resilient region.

This project has been guided by a local ‘Envision East Central Iowa Strategy Committee’, established by East Central Iowa Council of Governments. This committee was made up of numerous partner organization, many of which have committed to participate in the implementation stages. The initiative was hosted by the ECICOG (East Central Iowa Council of Governments).
